Surrounded by Pink Bella Umbrellas in Seattle

This single frame from Katie and Colin’s wedding has been wildly popular over on our Facebook page.  It even made it as the cover of Bella Umbrella’s page which is such an honor!  Since Facebook crunches the photos down and kinda makes them look a little jagged, I thought it deserved a second life here on the blog.  Enjoy!

Sunset Engagement Photos at Discovery Park

Of the many things that are great about Washington, the sunsets are totally up there on the list.  Adrianne and Michael’s engagement session was looking like the weather was going to overtake it but instead of getting rained out, we scored a completely amazing show by the clouds.  Discovery Park was the backdrop for their photos and between the skies and the trees, it was perfect!

Herban Feast Sodo Park Wedding in Seattle

If I could decree that every wedding have belly dancers to get the party started, I totally would.  Tanya and RC were married at Herban Feast Sodo Park and it was a sparkling affair.  This couple is sweet with each other it just makes you happy to be around them.  Tanya had been eyeing some Christian Louboutin shoes for her wedding day but just couldn’t talk herself into them.  Then… she broke her foot just months before the wedding.  Total stress, right?  RC, like a knight in shining armor, surprised his bride with the exact pair of sparkly Louboutins that she’d been wanting with an encouragement as to why her foot was going to be all better by the wedding.  Seriously romantic stuff!

While we’re on the subject of romantic, you’ll notice a beautiful white mansion in some of the images below.  This is the Ballard Mansion where the couple had their first apartment together and was engaged.  Here’s Tanya recounting their engagement story:

“RC took me to our first place together on beautiful Queen Anne. It was a dream place – the Ballard Mansion. We stood out front admiring the history of both the building and us. Before I knew it, he was down on one knee, proposing. Our friend hiding in the bushes taking pictures of the whole thing. Priceless. After his romantic gesture, we walked to my cousin’s apartment which was just behind the mansion. There awaited both our families- his sister flying in from school and my dad flying in from Lebanon, champagne to toast before we headed to a Lebanese restaurant on Capitol Hill for celebration. The whole place was reserved for us and it was the most spectacular, memorable evening of their lives!” – Tanya

As loving and beautiful as this couple is, their friends and wedding party add to it.  RC’s groomsman Jason {you may recognize Jason from our Facebook page as he was our New Year’s Eve groom!} gave an unforgettable toast by stashing envelopes underneath the chairs at the reception.  During his speech, the guests retrieved the packets from beneath their chairs and were delighted and surprised to see two pictures.  One of RC in his BT time – before Tanya – and one of RC in his AT time – after Tanya.  Spot the BT image in our photographs of the toast in the feature below!

The vendors on this wedding were so fantastic and they were:

Peach and Gold Wedding Details

Of the current wedding color combos that seem to be in fashion, I’m really partial to the peach and gold trend that seems to be happening.  Some call it deep pink, some call it coral, but I think peach has such a sweet, wedding-y sound to it.  I rounded up these fabulous wedding cakes from Tallant House that were created in a peach and gold motif and paired them with some wedding dress eye candy from The Dress Theory to give you a little look at the colors all working together.  Hope you enjoy!  Be sure to follow us on Pinterest where these cuties will most certainly turn up!
