rhododendron rich engagement session in seattle’s parsons garden

Today we bring you the most naturally flower-y engagement session I think we’ve ever had the pleasure of capturing!  Rie and Dennis have been planning their upcoming wedding from the East Coast so we had just a short window of opportunity to photograph them on one of their Seattle trips and the city absolutely bloomed for them.  Enjoy it all below!

Four Seasons Kona Wedding Welcome Dinner

After arriving in Kona a few days early to acclimate {aka set up shop at the local coffee stand and answer emails on their wifi} it was finally time to meet up with Hilary and Terry to kick off their wedding celebrations with a welcome dinner.  This first evening found us at the Four Seasons Kona which had the MOST amazing landscaping, flora, and architecture.   It was a great intro to all of the friends and family who we’d get to hang out with and photograph over the next three days.  The scenery, warm nights, and mai tai’s all contributed to an awesome evening for this crowd.

Happy Father’s Day 2014

Father’s day always feels a little bit special to Loren and me.  Neither of us has our dads anymore.  I lost my father, Dixon when I was 15 to Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and Loren lost his dad, Jim eight years ago to aggressive pancreatic cancer.  The relationships between our clients and their fathers is always something we notice so we thought we’d round up some of our favorite moments from the past year and share them with you here as a celebration of dads!

Sometimes goofy, sometimes touching, but always special – we hope these moments live on in each of these family’s histories.  Head over to our Facebook page to see the backstory behind these moments – we’ll be posting and explaining them all Father’s Day!

With love, Loren & Kimberly

Winter Engagement Session in Seattle’s Pioneer Square

As we head into Summer, we wanted to look back at Anita and Brandt’s beautiful Winter engagement session that we roamed around Pioneer Square for.  Winter sessions are so wonderful for engagements because they are all about coats, scarves, boots, and snuggling up close.  Enjoy!
